The B&B La Marmora 39 is located, as the name suggests, in Via Alfonso La Marmora 39 in the center of Florence, in the San Marco / Santissima Annunziata district, 10 minutes away from the Dome.
The privileged position, in the historical center of Florence, is perfect if you want to visit the major attractions of the city: Galleria dell’Accademia, the Dome, Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio and so much more…
Although it’s in the center of the city, the B&B is easy to reach by car that you can leave, if you request it, in our private parking space.
The building is very well connected also by public transportation; you can easily reach every district by bus.
The position is also strategic due to its proximity to the avenues surrounding the historic center. If you like having field trips, you can reach the Chianti hills to enjoy a glass of red wine or a fish soup in Livorno. You can get there easily by car.
How to reach the B&B
Tram + Bus
• Take the Tram (T2) to Santa Maria Novella
• From Santa Maria Novella station take the Bus (1A / 1B / 11) to the Bus stop “Venezia” in Via La Marmora 39, right in front of the B&B.
Taxi
You can take a cab at the train station. You’ll reach the B&B in about 30 minutes and you’ll spend around €25
From Galileo Galilei airport in Pisa
Bus + Bus
• Take the Airport Bus Express to Santa Maria Novella station (the cost of the ticket is €7,50)
• From Santa Maria Novella station take the Bus (1A / 1B / 11) to the Bus stop “Venezia” in Via La Marmora 39, right in front of the B&B
Bus
• Walk to Piazza Adua
• Take one of the following buses: 1A (Salviati) 1B (Boccaccio) 11 (Salviatino)
• Get off at the stop “Venezia”, right in front of the B&B. You can buy bus tickets in tobacco shops (€1,50) or on board, by cash or card (€2,50)
By foot
A lovely walk will get you the B&B in about 20 minutes
By taxi
You can take a cab at the train station. You’ll reach the B&B in about 15 minutes and you’ll spend around €15
From highway A1, exit at Firenze Sud and follow the directions for the city center. You’ll reach Piazza della Libertà. Turning the square completely, take Viale Matteotti in the opposite direction of travel. Turn right and take Via Cavour (that’s where ZTL area begins) and then turn left into Piazza San Marco. Once you arrive there, just turn left into Via Giorgio La Pira and go until you arrive in Via Alfonso La Marmora 39.
From the North
From the Firenze Nord exit, follow the directions for the city center. You’ll reach Piazza della Libertà and then turn right into Via Cavour (that’s where ZTL area begins). Turning left into Piazza San Marco just take Via Giorgio La Pira and go until you arrive in Via Alfonso La Marmora 39.
B&B’s private parking
Our B&B is in a limited traffic zone, but don’t worry. Once you entered Via Cavour you can access our private parking place, right next to the building. We’re gonna send your plate to City Hall so you won’t get fined. The price for our parking space is €25/day.
Public parking If you didn’t reserve our private parking, you can park your car in public parking spots in Viale Matteotti in blue areas. The cost for it is €2 for the first hour and €3 from the second one from Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM. From 8 PM and on Sundays the parking spots are free.
